1993 saw General Motors introduce their fourth-generation Camaro and with it came an invitation to supply the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway with an 'Official Pace Car.' It was the fourth time a Camaro had been chosen to fulfil this honour- a record at that point in time.
Based on the top-range Z28 mechanical package, including the 275bhp 'LT1' 5.7 litre (350ci) V8 and 4-speed automatic introduced in the Corvette the previous year, 645 were produced in total.
Each one was finished in a special Black over White combination with 'Official Pace Car' graphics and was complimented by the interior fabrics, also in Black/White with splashes of colour.
