Cover for your riding apparel such as helmets (including visor and/or radio communications), gloves, riding jackets and pants, boots and other bike - specific riding gear. Up to $1000 per item and $3000 in total for the rider. Conditions and exclusions apply.
If you like to modify and accessorise your bike, Shannons cover legal modifications and non-standard accessories listed on your policy, within the agreed value for your motorbike.
You can pay your premium annually, but we won't charge you any extra to pay monthly, quarterly or half-yearly.
If you insure more than one vehicle on your policy (such as your bike and your daily drive), you might be eligible for a multi-vehicle discount.*
If your bike is not your main form of transport and you don't use it regularly, you could benefit from lower usage rates.

The quality of workmanship and materials authorised by us in the repair of your bike are guaranteed for its life.
Hire car after a not at fault accident, while your regular use motorcycle is being repaired until your claim is settled. You must give us the name and address of the person at fault and the registration number of their vehicle.
If your bike is less than 2 years old, and you're the first registered owner, we'll replace it with a new bike of the same make and model (if available within 90 days), or similar if not available. Other conditions apply, see the PDS.
If your damaged bike is unsafe to ride after an insured incident, we cover the costs to tow the bike and storing it if required.
We give you the option to choose your own repairer or we will manage the repair process for you.

You can add optional covers to your policy for extra premium. Optional covers you've purchased are shown on your certificate.
A flat tyre, flat battery or any type of breakdown when you're out on the road on your bike can happen when you least expect it. Shannons Roadside Assist is a dedicated 24/7 roadside assistance service, available Australia-wide for your bike when you need it most. (Available for breakdowns that occur from 24 hours after purchasing Shannons Roadside Assist).

After an incident covered by your policy, if your regular use motorcycle is damaged and cannot be safely ridden, is being repaired or has been stolen, we will arrange and pay the reasonable hire cost of a car that meets your transport needs using our provider. Terms, conditions, limits and exclusions apply.
If your bike is not your main form of transport and you don't use it regularly, you could benefit from lower usage rates. Simply let us know how regularly you use your bike (e.g. on a weekly or monthly basis) and lower premiums may apply.
Shannons also offer special premiums for comprehensive insurance of bikes that are laid up at home, being restored, at repair shops or at club events.
