The Graham Brothers Ray, Robert and Joseph were involved in the automotive industry from 1916, when Ray developed axles and other parts that allowed Model T Fords to be successfully converted into trucks. By 1920 they brothers were building trucks in their own right, initially using Continental running gear. The venture really took off when they struck a deal with the Dodge brothers in 1921. The agreement allowed the Graham brothers to build a range of trucks utilising Dodge mechanicals. It was a quick success, and in 1925 Dodge took a controlling interest in the production of these vehicles. Of course the Chrysler buy-out of Dodge was looming and this was finalised in 1928- the Graham brothers had by that stage left the company and Chrysler re-adopted the Dodge name for its trucks shortly thereafter.
