The XK-150 series replaced the elegant XK 140 in 1957. Still elegant, but with a more modern edge to its design, it was initially available in Coupe form, soon being followed by drop-head and roadster versions. Using the same chassis and mechanical components as its predecessor, more pulling power was realised with the release of the 3.8l version of the legendary DOHC straight-six in 1959. Thus equipped, these later XK150s are well-renowned amongst collectors today, being the most driveable of the legendary 'XK' genre.
