The Cadillac Series 62 series was the mainstay model of the Cadillac range from its introduction in 1941 until 1964. Built on a redesigned chassis for 1954 with a new 129 in (3277 mm) wheelbase and with a 220.9 in (5610 mm) overall length for the Sedan and Coupe, 1955 models also received Cadillac's enlarged 365-cid overhead valve V8 that boosted power to 250 hp (186 kW).
