The legendary Harley-Davidson motorcycle from Milwaukee encapsulates the American dream on two wheels, perfectly at home on the endless blacktop highways crisscrossing the nation. Evolution of Harley-Davidson's Low Rider family continued into the 1990s, with the Dyna Wideglide, a development of the FXDB Sturgis, appearing in 1993. Powered by the classic 81.6-cid V-twin engine developing 69bhp, the Dyna was intended to recapture the spirit of the classic Seventies Low Rider look but incorporating numerous modern improvements. Since the mid-1980s, the Low Riders had been fitted with five-speed gearboxes and the early 1990s saw the arrival of the new engine mounting system developed with the aid of CAD that literally transformed the chassis and ride. With a Fat Bob fuel tank, wide front forks (hence the term Wideglide) on a wire-spoked front wheel and riser handlebars for that classic Harley attitude, the Dyna Wideglide is perfect as a weekend cruiser.
