From the ashes of G.N, Archie Frazer Nash emerged as a manufacturer in his own right. He purchased remaining G.N chain-drive parts and cars and set to designing a vehicle which would bear his own name, and retaining his favoured chain-drive layout which did away with a requirement for a differential. Period race drivers had to learn a new driving style to make the most of this layout, which effectively limited wheel spin but made cornering more challenging. From 1925 the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder Frazer Nash could be ordered in 'Fast Tourer' or 'Super Sport' forms with two and three-seat options on a 105-inch wheelbase. A short-chassis Super Sport was also available, with a 99-inch wheelbase. Production extended to 1930 and it is believed that 165 examples were built during this time.
