James Blair Re-enactment Run of 2018 with Veteran Cars 11th to 22nd July 2018

In 1908 the then Attorney General and Minister for Mines in Queensland, James(Jimmy) Blair, later Sir James Blair undertook the first motorised ministerial tour of the developing mines in North West Queensland. He owned a three year old , 40 horse power Panhard Levassor tourer, one of the few motor cars in Queensland at the time. Research has uncovered the original car and components, the car was modified into a rail motor and is on display at the Ipswich Railway Museum. This presentation was made by Peter Arnold of the Veteran Car Club of Australia(Queensland) who participated in the re-enactment. The video of this presentation was made by club member Ben Carrol.
