Shannons Repco Terms & Conditions

PARTICIPATION

1. This Competition ("Competition") is conducted by Shannons Pty Limited ABN 91 099 692 636 (the Promoter), of Level 23, 80 Ann Street, Brisbane, Queensland 4000, ph. 13 46 46.

2. All entry instructions and information provided by the Promoter form part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering, entrants accept these Terms and Conditions.

3. The Competition is only open to individuals who: (i) are Australian residents aged 18 years or older at time of entry; (ii) have consented to receive marketing communications from the Promoter and the Issuer and do not opt out during the Competition Period (defined below); and (iii) are not directors, management or employees, or their immediate family members of the Promoter or its related companies, its agencies, or other companies associated with, or benefiting from, the Competition ("Eligible Entrant").

A reference to “immediate family member(s)” means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or cousin.

4. Competition entry commences at 12.00am AEST on 18th May 2026 and closes at 11.59pm AEDT on 17th October 2026 ("Competition Period"). The Competition Period will be divided into five (5) entry periods (“Entry Period”). Entries open at 12:00:01am and close at 11:59:59pm on the dates listed below:

ENTRY

5. In these conditions:

Competition Website” means shannons.com.au/repco2026.

New Eligible Shannons Motor Insurance” means a new Shannons Motor (Car and/or Motorbike) Insurance Policy (excluding CTP Insurance), OR a new Risk (defined below) added to an existing Shannons Motor Insurance Policy (Car and/or Motorbike). The Issuer’s normal underwriting criteria apply. Excludes renewals.

New Eligible Shannons Home & Contents Insurance” means a new Shannons Home & Contents Insurance Policy (includes building only, contents only or building and contents cover). The Issuer’s normal underwriting criteria apply. Excludes renewals.

Risk(s)” means items covered within an insurance policy (such as vehicles insured under a motor insurance policy). The Issuer’s normal underwriting criteria apply.

Issuer” means AAI Limited ABN 48 005 297 807 AFSL 230859.

6. To enter the Competition and receive an automatic entry into the draw for the relevant Entry Period:

(a) an Eligible Entrant must during an Entry Period:

(i)  Purchase a New Eligible Shannons Motor Insurance Policy.  Each Eligible Shannons Motor Insurance Policy must remain active and be fully paid at the end of the relevant 30 day cooling off period.  If paid annually, or if paid by instalments these must be up to date at the end of the relevant 30 day cooling off period from instalment date; or

(ii) Purchase a New Eligible Shannons Home & Contents Insurance Policy.  Each New Eligible Shannons Home & Contents Insurance Policy must remain active and be fully paid at the end of the relevant 30 day cooling off period. If paid annually, or if paid by instalments these must be up to date at the end the relevant 30 day cooling off period from the instalment date.

(b)   For the avoidance of doubt, any insurance policy that is cancelled, or lapses during the relevant Entry Period will not receive an entry (or entries as the case may be) into the draw for the relevant Entry Period.

(c)    It is a condition of entry that Eligible Entrants consent to receive Shannons brand marketing communications and not opt out during the Competition Period.

7. The Promoter reserves the right, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority, to modify or suspend the Competition Website from time to time, at the Promoter’s discretion, without notice to any Eligible Entrant due to unforeseen circumstances out of the Promoters control i.e. website outage, security risk. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption or delay an Eligible Entrant may experience from the Promoter modifying or suspending the Competition Website in these circumstances.

8. Shannons Pty Limited ABN 91 099 692 636 is an authorised representative of AAI Limited ABN 48 005 297 807 AFSL 230859, the product issuer. Read the relevant Product Disclosure Statement before buying insurance. Go to shannons.com.au for a copy. The Target Market Determination is also available.

9. Any Eligible Entrant who the Promoter automatically enters into the Competition in accordance with condition 6 who wishes to not participate in the Competition can request for their entry to be removed from the Competition by calling 13 46 46.

10. Multiple entries are permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one (1) entry permitted per New Eligible Shannons Motor Insurance policy, Risk added to an existing Shannons Motor Insurance policy or New Eligible Shannons Home & Contents Insurance policy purchased; and (b) each entry must comply with the entry requirements.

11. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Competition Period. Entries will be deemed received by the Promoter at the time the necessary requirements under condition 6 have been met.

12. The Promoter may, with reasonable grounds, declare an entry invalid if the entry is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or disqualify any Eligible Entrant that tampers with the entry process or benefits from such tampering or otherwise acts in a manner that is unlawful, disruptive, dishonest or calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of this Competition. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

13. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to require an Eligible Entrant to verify the validity of their entry within a reasonable requested time, including but not limited to their identity, age, place of residence and eligibility, and to disqualify any entrant who does not satisfy the entry criteria in these Terms and Conditions.

14. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Eligible Entrant, the Promoters reserves the right to determine the identity of the Eligible Entrant.

DRAW AND PRIZE

15. There will be one (1) draw conducted for entries received in each Entry Period (each a “Monthly Draw”). The Monthly Draw for each Entry Period will take place at Anisimoff Legal, Level 3/162 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 at 11:00am on the dates listed in the table below.  The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries (for each Entry Period) and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn (“Reserve Entries”).

16. There are 100 prizes to be won for each Entry Period, 500 prizes in total over the Competition Period. The first one hundred (100) valid entries randomly drawn in each Monthly Draw will each win an AUD$500 Repco Gift Card voucher – see here for full Repco Gift Card Terms and Conditions.

17. Only one (1) prize is permitted per person (excluding SA residents).

18. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the Repco voucher are not included. Any unused balance of the voucher/gift card will not be awarded as cash. Redemption of the Repco voucher is subject to any terms and conditions of the issuer including those specified on the Repco voucher.  

PROVISIONS APPLICABLE TO PRIZE GENERALLY

19. The total prize pool is valued at AUD$250,000.

20. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take the prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize will be forfeited.

21. If the prize is unavailable (unavailable does not mean postponed, rescheduled or unable to be taken or used by the winner) for any reason outside the Promoter’s control, the Promoter will substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, where required. Subject to any applicable law which cannot be excluded, the Promoter accepts no other liability or responsibility for any loss incurred by a winner or any other party if a prize is unavailable for any reason.

22. Other than as expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions, prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, non-replaceable, and non-redeemable for another prize including cash, except at the Promoter’s discretion and subject to relevant State and Territory legislation.

PRIZE WINNERS

23. The winner/s will be notified in writing by email within seven (7) days of the relevant Monthly Draw. 

24. The prize notification will include instructions as to how the winner is to claim their prize.  In the event of joint policyholder winners, the winners must nominate one policyholder to receive the prize.

25. The prize will only be awarded following any winner validation and verification that the Promoter resonably requires.

26. The details of the winner/s (last name, first initial and postcode) will be published on the Competition Website on the dates listed in the table above.

27. The prize/s must be claimed by 8th January 2027 (for the original winner/s) and 5th February 2027 (for the winner/s of the unclaimed prize draw, if any). 

28. A draw for any unclaimed prizes may take place on 11th January 2027 at the same time and place as the original Monthly Draws, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Winners, if any, will be notified in writing by email within seven (7) days of the draw and their details (first initial, surname and postcode) will be published online on the Competition Website on 18th January 2027.

GENERAL

29. Nothing in these terms and conditions restricts, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify any consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition.

30. If this Competition is not capable of running as planned, or is interfered with or disrupted in any way due to unforeseen circumstances out of the Promoter’s control (including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, weather event, civil unrest, strikes, pandemics, government restrictions, computer bugs or viruses, tampering or technical failures), the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, as appropriate, or invalidate any affected entries, acting reasonably and to the extent necessary to address the unforeseen circumstances and subject to the any written directions from a regulatory authority.

31. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, the Promoter assumes no responsibility for the following, except to the extent caused or contributed to by our own negligence: (i) any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication sent to (or by) the Promoter whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines, computer systems, software or internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise; (ii) any theft, destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of such communications; (iii) any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the Competition; (iv) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their  receipt by the Promoter); (v) any variation in the prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (vi) taking of the prize; or (vii) any delay in delivery (when not directly caused by the Promoter or its supplier), or failure of safe delivery of a prize.

32. If any dispute arises between an Eligible Entrant and the Promoter concerning the conduct of this Competition, the Promoter will, acting reasonably, consider your point of view, taking into account any facts or evidence you put forward, and to respond to it fairly within a reasonable time.

33. To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its associated companies and agencies and any of their personnel and suppliers (including third party suppliers), exclude all liability for any loss (including any damage, claim, injury, cost or expense) which is suffered or incurred by any Eligible Entrant in connection with the Competition or the prize, including without limitation: (i) any indirect loss such as loss of  business or other profits and (ii) any liability for personal injury or death. To the extent that such liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the minimum allowable by law.

34. If requested by the Promoter and agreed by the winner/s, the winner/s will participate in reasonable promotional activities (such as publicity and photography) surrounding winning the prize, and consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including any photograph, film and/or recording of them) in any media for an unlimited period, without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.  

35. The Promoter may communicate or advertise this Competition using social media platforms i.e. Meta/Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat ("Social Media Platform"). However, the Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any Social Media Platform.  Each Eligible Entrant completely releases the Social Media Platforms from any and all liability in relation to this Competition, and acknowledges that this Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any Social Media Platform. Eligible Entrants provide their information to the Promoter and not to any Social Media Platforms. 

PRIVACY STATEMENT

36. Personal information is collected from Eligible Entrants by or on behalf of the Promoter to enable the Promoter and its agents to manage, administer and promote the Competition and, where applicable, publicise the winner. The personal information may also be provided to persons assisting the Promoter, including prize suppliers and deliverers, marketing agencies and IT providers, and to regulatory authorities, media outlets and related companies. The Promoter will disclose Eligible Entrants’ personal information and/or collect personal information about Eligible Entrants from persons to engage in its business functions and activities and for the purposes detailed in this statement. By participating in the Competition (and/or accepting a prize), Eligible Entrants consent to these uses and disclosures of their personal information.

37. If an Eligible Entrant does not provide the personal information the Promoter requests, the Promoter may not be able to enter them into the Competition. All personal information is handled in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy available at https://www.shannons.com.au/privacy. Information about how to access or correct the personal information that the Promoter holds, or how to make a complaint, can be found in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy available.
