Salvage rights for total loss vehicles more than 35 years old
With our Comprehensive Car Insurance, if your vehicle is over 35 years old and your vehicle is a total loss, you will keep the unrepaired vehicle.
NOTE: Salvage rights will not apply if your vehicle is stolen and we settle your claim as a total loss.
Agreed value
Your car isn't cookie cutter, and neither is its value. At Shannons we recognise your investment, so the agreed value reflects your car's worth including performance upgrades, aesthetic enhancements and all the modifications listed on your policy.
Your choice of repairer, or we can manage the repair process for you
Shannons gives you the option to choose your own repairer or we can manage the repair process for you. If you want to choose your own repairer, please contact us using webchat (available via Claim Online) or call 13 46 46 to talk to a claims specialist. Or let Shannons take care of the process for you and arrange a suitable repairer from the list of Preferred Repairers. To book your repair, lodge an online claim to get started.

Windscreen and window glass cover
One excess free windscreen or window glass replacement or repair claim applies for the period of insurance.
Pay by the month
Make your payments monthly, at no extra cost. You can pay your premium annually, but we won't charge you any extra if you choose to pay monthly, quarterly or half-yearly.

Hire car after an event for unlimited days: After an incident covered by your policy, if your regular use motor vehicle is damaged and cannot be safely driven, is being repaired or has been stolen, we will arrange and pay the reasonable cost of a hire car that is a similar make and model to your motor vehicle using our provider. Terms, conditions, limits and exclusions apply.
