A great car, which was running around the streets of Port Moresby, at the same time as my GTO M2, registration TPNG 76-149. A fellow owning a similar car as mine was seen with the outer rear tail lights having orange lenses. Mine had all four red lenses. He organised for mine to be converted to have the orange as the car's rear turning indicators. I was keen on importing the GTO into Australia, and this would have to have been done anyhow. The front indicators were orange from the factory, and I changed these over when the car arrived in Australia. The only lens that was barely suitable was from a Toyota Land Cruiser. After grinding these down to fit, I then had the car registered in NSW. Once that was done, I removed the Toyota lens and re-fitted the original orange lens, which stayed with it until the car was written off after I sold it several years later. A sad end for a great car, driven by someone rather "brave" for demanding right-of way to a semi-trailer!
