My Car 1981 TA .. with T tops ..Photo was from the 2001 Extreme Horse Power Show Adelaide Not a lot has changed with looks since then but running gear has been over hauled. Project currently 90% done.. I have owned it since 1998. As far as I can find this is only one of 4 or 5 original Turbo TA's left in Australia and very few in the States. This is were I am at with it. Open to offers over $30,000 to sell if any one is interested. Other wise I will end up putting it in Shannon's Auctions. Has one or two very small spots of rust in the boot and a small dent in the drivers door thanks to some a** sole in a car park. Other than that it is in very good condition, has seasonal rego meaning I can rego it at any time I wish. Seeing it is now 32yrs old it can have historic rego if I wanted. I have not driven it on the road for over a year so would need a service before driving it daily. Has been converted to full right hand drive (not a chain link job) before I brought it. Stored in garage rarely goes out.. I start it every few months to keep it ticking over. Battery is kept on slow charge. Have most but not all paperwork for work done due to ex wife throwing stuff away or burning it as they do... Motor full rebuild 13yrs ago done about 6000kms since then. Has done Original 103918Kms. Original 301 Turbo Charged engine, board out to 40tho oversized pistons & rings fitted. Turbo set at 13psi boost (added a in dash gage). Full rebuild on original 3 speed 350 trans & Diff. Fitted a 2 1/4 inch twin exhaust system at time of rebuild and stiffened the rear leaf springs. Now has the 80's style wedge (raised rear) look. Refit & colour change back to original tan interior it came out with from the red colour when I brought it. Only issue was a crappy job done on front seats with the back supports so now they need to be done as they slop into each other. Truck size Battery has been fitted in the boot & fluoro lighting (as seen in pic) fitted all round with strobe light in front grill. Kenwood sound system fitted with strobe lights on rear parcel shelf set to the music beat & red interior lights. Have heaps of replacement parts I intended to put on after I had repainted it. Paint work in very good condition but wanted to put new decals on and best to do that with a new paint job that way you can put them under the clear coat. Parts are: New in cylinder full set of decals - $1000 New original exterior door handles - $100 Some replacement badges for part of the dash / bezel. - $150 New gold bezel & original T bar shifter box for auto (Park, Drive, Reverse etc.) - $180 New original instrument wiring loom. - $50 Second hand original computer controller (spare) These are rare as rocking horse shit. - $1000 + A few other bits & pieces like books & period sales ads etc.including detailed engine / mechanic's book - $400. I do have more photos of it on a disk some ware just need to find it. I would have like to finishing it, had planed to change colour to black but have other business interest that could use the cash.
