I've just realised the quantum leaps backwards and forwards with my first four cars. Huge step forward from an FE Holden to a 2 year old Austin 1800, then back to the dark ages with a 1959 Ford 100E Anglia, then a touch of sophistication and luxury to a 1960 Mercedes Benz 190b. Admittedly, the last two were bought cheaply and when in London. So: 1. 6 cyl OHV rear-wheel drive, coil front suspension, rear leaves, 3 on the tree 2. 4 cyl OHV front-wheel drive, independent all round Hydrolastic suspension, 4 on floor. 3. 4 cyl side valve rear-wheel drive, McPherson front suspension, rear leaves, 3 on floor 4. 4 cyl OHC rear wheel drive, coil suspension all round, 4 on tree. No wonder I'm confused!
