I think the often overlooked TD2000 car which was designed and built in Australia is a special future collectable car and part of Australia's car manufacturing history. Around 100 cars were factory engineered and built in Australia to a high standard and sold with a new car warranty. Another 400 cars were manufactured in Malaysia for global distribution. Some of the original Aussie built cars are now over 28 years old and a classic in their own right. The build quality of the TD2000 and faithfull replication of the early 1950's MG-TD sports roadster style is far above that of other historically based replicas. The TD2000 has modern drive train and disc brakes so it has no problem in driving performance or reliability. The cars are seldom seen on the second hand market but are normally available between $20K to $40K.
