I think the only realistic long-term future for motor shows are those like Motorclassica - which predominantly celebrate the past. Honestly, the last exciting Australian International Motor Show I attended was in 2005 when Holden unveiled its extraordinary EFIJY. After that, there were no more jaw-dropping show cars of that calibre to amaze and inspire; it just became a giant new car showroom and was boring-as.
