Today I had a quick walk through the former Mitsubishi manufacturing site in Tonsley Park, SA. An impressively large site, tinged with sadness at what was. There are now many small businesses operating from inside the massive factory. The Tesla service centre, dwarfed by the size of the building, is one of them. It is not very glamorous. There are two large doors through which cars enter into the workshop, an external office that looks more like a transportable, and if you wish to wait, a park bench to sit on. The idea is that you would go off to one of the nearby cafes. Despite all of that, I think it is the coolest service centre. It is the total opposite of other prestige makers who go all out for a 'Hollywood' appearance.
