A VF Regal Hardtop (Slant 6) was the first car I paid money for. The year was 1974 and after spending 12 months working on getting a VW going after blowing the motor, here was a car that went when you wanted and looked like a million dollars. Fast forward 40 years and now have a 770 Hardtop for a hobby car. It does weekend trips and the odd show and shine. The Sports-Luxury combo was years ahead of the LS Monaro and Fairmont Hardtop.
