While I've never had an overrated car (my present VF Commodore might just make that definition), the rest of mine have been underrated if not underwhelming. Agreed, DrJohn with the 1800 - I still have mine but age is catching up with it. I think Britain's most underrated car is the Austin Maxi. I had a 1974 Maxi 1750 for over 25 years in this country which wasn't easy as they were never sold here. Five doors, five gears, great handling and extremely versatile. Described as an almost great car which never got the development it deserved.
