This was my father's '73 HQ. Mandarin red with 253, 4 speed and bucket seats, even the GM air con under the dash. I remember when he got it in '74, 2nd hand from the local Holden dealer who had picked it up in Sydney and let dad know it was coming. The old man bought it as soon as it hit the lot! He worked it hard as a chippie then heating contractor in northern NSW up until he retired early 2000's. Always looked after it well and thats all pretty much the original paint and everything. GMH sold them with different backs, as you ordered, the drop-down sides being most common. This long style-side, fabricated by Flood Bodyworks in Melbourne is exactly how it came. In all the time he owned it he never saw another like it or met anyone who had. It was only recently I managed to find something the same online. It's now my baby and I try to get it out to club events whenever I can. It's got great sentimental value and takes me right back to being a kid in the passenger seat again...
