Running low 12's over the quarter at A.I.R. in my Toyota 700 Drag Car, braking was not such an issue for me - as I still had another 1/4 mile in which to slow down before taking on the right hander at the top end of the circuit. Therefore I found my choice of a 5.3:1 ratio rear end from a Bedford CA Van to be 'more than adequate' to fulfill the task of both a quick get-a-way and the drum braking it provided (if required).
