You make some good points Jon. I read that Tesla are making the battery pack a structural part of their cars. Does that mean that the battery can not be replaced ? From what I have been reading, there seems to be a large number of EVs already hitting the wreckers in the USA. The battery packs and drives seem to be very popular for recycling into ICE to EV conversions. It does not surprise me as I am very critical of the abilities of some EV drivers to handle some ridiculously fast EV cars that do not have the chassis dynamics to really handle the acceleration they are capable of.
