Thanks PonyRider, finding the advertisements took quite some time. And yes, the four door hardtop image is simply sensational. As soon as I saw it I knew where it would go in the magazine. Here's one of a number of images GM kindly sent me which did not make it into the magazine. Like so many American car advertisements of the 1950s it encapsulates success, glamour, power, optimism and exuberance.
