Yes Pony it was the GTB. And it wasn't just my driving. The co driver who had won a couple of Armstrong 500s with Bob Jane was quite a bit slower than me, but still managed to wipe the side down a safety fence in practice. I had warned him it had such a lose tail I was surprised it did not fall off, to be told "don't worry about that, I race a VW". It was this one, a GT B. Achingly beautiful, & probably a great boulevard cruiser, but a dog if asked to go round a corner quickly.
