All power to you Steve. Loved your story about the SSS and its original owner. Near identical to our story, even down to the "touched up" number plates. Ours is a 1976 4 door which we acquired from the elderly original owner, with around 72,000 original kms on the clock. She died quite soon after we got the car back on the road, but we had time to give her one last ride around the block in her beloved "Datto". The car is affectionately called "Dottie" in honour of its owner. As with Steve's car, we have done as little as we could to retain the originality of Dottie. For all the negatives mentioned about refinement and handling , we still enjoy jumping in the Datsun every now and then and going for a comfortable cruise as much as we do in a modern car.
