Great collection Retro and I agree wholeheartedly with the Honda. May I add a few; the world's first transverse six was announced in November 1970 as well; the Australian Austin X6 duo, the Kimberley and Tasman. I know we've covered the X6 and the Triumph Stag in these forums but the Stag was another 1970 debutant. Five noteworthy Europeans arrived that year; the stunning Alfa Romeo Montreal, the outstanding Citroën GS, VW's first fwd car, the K70, (coming courtesy of NSU), the Opel Manta, pretty enough to compete with the Capri and Celica, and the big sister of the Avenger, the Chrysler 180. The Mark III Cortina which we knew as the TC and on a different level, the vastly improved Austin Maxi 1750 made its appearance, probably too late, arriving at the same Earls Court Motor Show. I attended that show and was amazed at the variety of vehicles and that was where I first saw a Chevrolet Vega; another flawed beauty from GM.
