I've told this story before. A wealthy local business man ordered a new black 1963 4door hardtop Pontiac Parisienne. When the car arrived it had a large tin of special black duco in the boot. The job order said repaint bonnet. The car was sent to the paint shop, and as there was no booths in those days, bonnet was sprayed on the footpath out side the paint shop. The huge bonnet soon gobbled up the tin of paint. The painter was standing back proud of his skilled job when a fly landed in the wet paint. After a hurried meeting, it was decided to leave the fly there, and rub it back a bit. Many years later when ever the big car would come in for a service, "Is the fly still there?" would echo through the workshop.
