Joe - great story again as usual - you just beat me to it with an ad out of a Melbourne paper, probably The Age in 1962 which I eventually found after a few hours hunting. I went into Preston Motors in 1962 as a 17 year old, but no way were they going to give me a brochure on the Chevy II or the Cadillac also on the floor! Not sure of the date on this, but they must have done some promotions. I managed a couple of years later to get Preston Motors' very small brochures for the imported 1964 Chev wagon and Buick Electra. A note on the images from your site on the US Chevy II brochure. Have a look at the Australian XL Falcon Trim Taut and Terrific brochure and then look at the US Chevy II and the full line US Chev brochure. Either Ford Australia and Chev in the US had the same ad agency, or Ford here thought the US brochures were a real inspiration.
