For sale is my much cherished supercharged 308 1974 HQ Holden. I have had this car for roughly four years, three of which has been registered on club plates. I have just been using this car for the odd weekend drive here and there, but apart from that, it sits under covers in my shed. This can be your opportunity to own your own slice of Australian motoring history with this unique and much loved classic. This old girl is in good condition (for 43 years old). A few minor cosmetics here and there. Paint work is Monterey green with what looks like a slight metallic added. The interior is in good condition with the only issue being some cracks on the seat and I have yet to replace the carpet which looks average on the front passenger side. It has no radio, with the original dash still having the radio blank in place. No AC either. This Aussie 5L V8 is far from stock with a mild cam fitted. It has also been fitted with a F1 Pro charger rated to 1300 HP (less than 3000 KS old from fitting). Running at a low boost, roughly putting out 200kw at the wheels. With a mild tune, there is plenty more power to be had. It is still running a 3 speed traumatic with a 2500 stall converter, this is the only real weak point of the car. I have had the 355 LSD diff Rebuilt less than 2000 KS ago. Transmission cooler with thermos fans fitted not long ago. It is also running on straight gas (Impco 425 LPG gas system). 3” tail pipes fitted to 2”duel exhaust 14” peanut rims and lowered all round I didn’t quite like the look of gauges staring you in the face wherever you go so I had the Boost, oil press and temp gauges mounted low on dash (out of sight) I will also throw in the chrome strips, another stock bonnet and hinges. I have treated this car well and am far from the burnout type, as is evident by the near new tires front and back. It is definitely a head turner with a rather lumpy idle and iconic whine of the supercharger. I strongly regret to part with this beauty, however as It won’t fit in my suitcase, I cannot take it oversees as a result of my sea change. I hate the thought of it locked up in a container indefinitely which is why I am giving somebody the opportunity to give my car the TLC I will not be able to. Please do not waste my time with unrealistic offers or swaps as I am already gritting my teeth at the thought of getting rid of it, and would rather keep it in storage otherwise. I am asking $30,000 This car is currently on club permits so the plates will be coming off and sold as is. No reg or rwc. However, it will not take much at all to register.
