Further to the British ads for the Pullman and Imperial, this ad appeared in a 1949 Australian art magazine - I reckon the artwork was used in Britain, but it does point to a small market for these cars in this country. Many, like the Austin Sheerline and Princess were bought by councils, who didn't want to spend their ratepayers' money on a Rolls-Royce or Daimler, but still look dignified enough for their position. Brisbane City Council had a 1955 Austin Princess Limo donated to them. It was used for quite some time, until drivers discovered power steering and air-conditioning in Fairlanes, Statesmans and LTDs.
