Great story. My first ever car was a 1962, yes 1962, Cortina 2 door, 113E 1200 cc motor, Tasman blue with a white flash ( probably after market ) and cloth seat facings on the vinyl interior. Had it for about 4 years, loved to drive it and despite your review it went pretty well when pushed. Would have loved to still have it but was traded in on my next car, a Chrysler Valiant AP6. I still yo this day would have loved a GT or even better a Lotus Cortina, before the second variant, the aeroflow model, was actually assembled by Ford, and THEN it became the Ford Lotus Cortina
