The Jaguar XJ-S Eventer looks good enough to be a genuine factory car and the original Lynx Engineering prototype was presented to Jaguar Cars in 1982, but never officially endorsed. To my mind it actually looks best in post-1991 form where the new rear-end treatment seems almost purpose designed for this 'shooting brake' variant ... the attached image is from Lynx Motors advertising material and if your eyes are sharp, you'll note that 'Lynx' and 'Eventer' badging on the tailgate replaces the original 'Jaguar' and 'XJS' nameplates. Of the 67 Eventers produced by Lynx Engineering and Lynx Motors, only 15 are post-1991 build cars ... I'm not aware of any Eventer having found its way downunder.
