I do have a good mechanic, been using him for well over 30 years, but my daughter insisted that her boyfriends boss could do this service so her boyfriend could be involved with it, so i just walked away and told her whateva. Attached is the service record. $65 was for replacing the cabin filter which was completely blocked, apparently never been cleaned before from the photo i saw of it. $100 was for replacing the transmission fluid, which BTW was done during the transmission service at 85k, apparently the mechanic found traces of metal filings in the old oil. $30 for the transmission spin on filter and $23 for transmission anti shudder treatment. $55 for machining the front rotors and re-surfacing the pads. Apparently the mechanic also reckons the transmission was sluggish and not changing gears properly, apparently that is now fixed, oddly tho, i also never found the gear changes to be sluggish or not changing properly while i drove the car. I will give her one more chance to sell it to me, otherwise she will just have to suffer the future service and repair costs, which is not likely to get any better or cheaper the older it gets.
