Thanks for your comments, Bill04. You have highlighted one of the aspects of the LH/LX, in that it tried to be many things to many people. Creating a range that offered 4,6 and V8's was almost unique in the world at the time. Was it a step too far? Would continuing with separate models and two wheelbases for the 4 and 6 have been a sales success? We will never know. One thing I do know, is that Australia will never again create uniquely Australia cars that are designed here, built here and driven here. I have run the photo of the initial tape drawings for 4 and 6 through AI in order to gain a better perspective on what they might have looked like "on the road."
