Since first migrating to Australia in 1970 I've learned to appreciate the quality of cars that were once produced here and now that our local car industry has all but disappeared I'm hanging on to my pride and joy as long as I can maintain it. With an 'honest' valuation of $10,000 and spare parts readily available from the likes of Rare Spares, I consider my 1979 VB Commodore (SL) as an affordable (43yo) modern classic which still receives many admiring glances from those who perhaps once owned one back in the day.
