A friend asked if I wanted to go the local V8 Supercar round at Wanneroo Raceway, WA today. I admit to knowing very little about the series. There were a few different types of races including historic touring cars. I expected the ridiculous V8 Superutes to be mind numbing but they were the most exciting to watch as a spectator. The racing was very close with the lead and other positions frequently changing. The V8 Supercars sounded great but it was mainly single file racing with minimal changes in position compared to the utes.
