My go-to resource for Edsel is Tom Bonsall's book "Disaster in Dearborn". The Edsel Citation and Corsair were based on the 1957 Mercury body and built at Mercury factories. The smaller Pacer and Ranger models were based on the 1957 Ford body. The quick way to identify them is by roof line. The Mercury-based Edsel has the "overhanging" roof line. Wagons were all based on Ford bodies, regardless of model.
