Great review DB. These images take us back to the late 1970s when it was painfully clear to me at the time that Chrysler had missed the boat with the whole surfing/panel van craze. I must say Dennis Nicolle's bold angled-stripe idea (inspired by the Flying Kangaroo) is the most memorable feature of the Drifter and superior to any of the horizontal or vertical stripe concepts shown here. They worked really well on the utes too and available in multiple colour combinations. Where would you find an original example of either vehicle today?
