Glenn, I have a very similar story to yours but polar opposite. My Capri which I have owned since 20 13 is in Ireland bound for Australia later this year. It too has started life as a 1.6 laser. It has an x pack body kit fitted and coincidentally is also being painted magnet Orange. I have done the engine bay so far. Contemplating dare I say An LS1 swap or more likely a barra six cylinder turbo as a retrofit.
