Fantastic, Retro - while the Chrysler MiniVan has very little relevance here, think Toyota Tarago - will these ever become classics? The VW now represents a culture that we grew up with. Through work I was close to the Morris J2 Messenger, but these horrors, like CA Bedfords, Thames and Commer vans never had the street cred that a VW had. Look how many Aussies drove around Europe in Kombis in the '70s. You never seem to see the Chrysler Voyager people movers of the early 2000s around, and I can't remember when I last saw a PT Cruiser. Are either of them worthy of classic-status in the future?
