I look forward to DB's story on the never-released VA Torana, in relation to the UC that did make it into production. The consistent thread through comments posted here is that GM-H appeared to initially lack confidence that the Commodore would be a success, hence the WB and UC safety nets. I think Holden did a commendable job in restyling the front of the UC Torana with its sharp detailing similar in appearance to the WB Kingswood, but the tail-lights looked a bit large for my liking. I think the marketing department felt the same way, because there doesn't seem to be many rear shots of the UC in promotional material. And those that are shown are either shot from a high side-angle or partly hidden by another car.
