This is my HT holden race car I got when I was nearly 15 yrs old and we painted it just before my first race and I got lapped by the entire field twice before the end of the race - bugger. Then my dad used to take me to the salt flats to learn how to get my car sideways withough being too scared and he used to race me in his HR holden. I started in the Bombers class and they were a big group at speedway and it was a great way to learn to drive as I had heaps of drivers come in as my co-driver and give me lots of tips. My car even got me qualifed 3rd in the Qld titles but the engine blew 3/4 way through the race. I had to have the seat modified so it could be raised and moved forward so I could reach the pedals and my Dad put in a 3 speed gearbox so I only really changed two gears cause the racing was so tight and hectic.
