Today I started the assembly of the clutch. I had already attached the flywheel. Although the spigot bushing in the crankshaft end looked alright, the new clutch kit had a new one. A few days ago at my local Repco store, I was chatting with a very helpful 202 expert. He mentioned using bread and then bashing a bolt from the front to remove the bearing. The bread in effect adds hydraulic pressure behind the bushing to push it out. It is cheaper than a dedicated tool. Worth sacrificing my favourite food for this job? With some sadness I took some home made bread(I chose the smallest piece) for the job, which was a success. I used a cheap old socket as a piston. The bread came out in a disgusting looking cylindrical shape interspersed with oil/grease. I tapped the new bushing in without incident.
