The American design team proposal for the XA Falcon, led by ex-GM designer David Wheeler, has always intrigued me. Scant information exists about it. But with the benefit of new AI rendering software that takes account of the distinctive side creases that appeared on the 1972 Torino, I've created this reconstruction. It may not be an exact replica, but it is close. And close enough to see why its bulky flanks and high belt line were rejected in favor of the more slim line Australian proposal.
