Great article! In the late 80's I had a 73 RX4 RE12 sedan that had a Jap import TQ13B in it when I bought it. It had an engine oil driven torque convertor between the engine and the normal clutch of the 5 speed manual box. Apparently from later model Limo style Mazda models to smooth them out in the city traffic. That got written off when I t-boned a TE Cortina so I found a 74 RX4 sedan with a blown motor and swapped in the 13B from my 73 minus the Torque convertor. Loved the RX4 but sadly sold both the wreck and the runner together for $1000 in the mid 90's. Wish I'd kept them now. Pic on the day I sold it.
