Isuzu also made a ute version of the Bellett called the Wasp. In 1965 they were distributed by Mitsubishi Motors, who were just getting under way with their early Colts. Alongside the Bellett and the Wasp was the Elf Two Ton Truck. There was a service station in Mt Alexander Rd in Moonee Ponds of all places selling both Isuzu and Mitsubishi at least into 1966. If the Bellett was overlooked, the Florian 1600 has all but been forgotten. Introduced in 1969, they can't have sold too many here. If the front sheet metal looks familiar, they used it for the Chevy LUV ute, which was sold here by GMH.
