(unquote) JB007: I too remember Mallala and frequented the track on several occasions before Adelaide International Raceway opened in January 1972. I also remember Rolley Park Speedway before that closed prior to the opening of the 'out of town' Speedway Park at Virginia. I went along to A.I.R. on the opening night Drag Meet in January '72 and was completely blown away by the visiting American Funny Car 'Trojan Horse' (see pic).
