Another US concept vehicle designed under the wonderfully imaginative Tom Gale at Chrysler back in 1999 was a retro-modern take on the classic Dodge Power Wagon. It was such a striking design I really thought it was headed for production, given Chrysler gave the green light for production of other retro concepts like the PT Cruiser and Plymouth Prowler, but sadly it was not to be.
