Hi SkylarkCustom, thanks for the kind words. I found the FG photos when I was visiting GM's Heritage Centre a couple of years ago and have been stitching the story together ever since. I've attached a photo that, for space reasons, did not make it into the magazine. Dated 27th January, 1950, it is the mock-up of the FJ grille. It demonstrates how early the FJ was ready to go and how long Holden waited to release it. And check out all of the grille design ideas on the wall in the background.
