Yes David. The board tracks would have been like our own concrete track - Sydney's Maroubra speedway ( Olympia Motor Speedway ) in the 1920's and our pioneer of speedway driving Phil Garlick who was killed there along with many others. His headstone in the South Head cemetery at Vaucluse is unique - he is forever at the wheel.
