I would love to have the 1940 MG TB I owned briefly while doing my flying training, but could never afford to buy it, if it still exists.
Hasbeen there are twenty one MG TBs recorded on the club's Pre War Register albeit information is scant on several. However there is a single Tickford recorded but this is noted as a recent import. A TC is much more commonly available and the experience behind the wheel would be virtually identical to the TB. A TC remains an affordable classic if that is where your interest falls with good cars available in the $40 to $50k range. My son has recently acquired a very tidy VH Commodore for under $30k with the original 253 V8 still going strong. A practical classic now forty years old which would still serve as a useful family car with reasonable maintenance costs and good potential for capital appreciation.
